HANDS DOWN, Inuyasha. I love it with allll my heart. It's mostly due to how much nostlgia I have from it. It was the first anime I ever watched and my uncle introduced it to me (W unc). When I would get home from (middle) school, I'd immediately start watching it with big doe eyes. I loved it so much I got to the point of having a plastic cup I would try and tear with my teeth to be like Inuyasha (even wrote his name on the cup). He was definitely my first anime crush even though i wanted him and Kagome to be together. Whenever we had to actually do stuff in gym class, I remember I would think to myself "what would Inuyasha do?" and shout in my head "Tetsusaiga!" Thankfully, I never did it outloud...
At first I was expected it to sort of be like The Nanny (absoultely fire) but as the movie progressed, I was happily surprised. My favorite part was defintely the "Do you taste like chocolate?" "Do you taste like vanilla?" lines. It was a bit refreshing to see a movie around that time period talk about the divison in communities due to racism. When there was like only a few minutes left in the movie right after he took Molly back, I thought it was going to end sad ngl. I thought it was going to be one of those movies that are about forbidden love and how they can't be together because of misunderdstandings + race. Still can't believe that I cried through the movie because of the misunderstandings and the granny. Fire movie, loved how they brought how racism affects things smoothly. 8/10.
